Alex and Ashley

Alex and Ashley

Forwards recently placed two individuals in placements at Tesco, with the help of Pamela Mitchell (People Manager) from the St Oswald’s store in Gloucester

Alex started a 6 week work experience placement in Toni’s team. He impressed the staff so much that he was kept on for a further 3 weeks, where he worked independently without the support of the job coach. Alex learnt an array of valuable and transferable skills whilst on work experience and was extended in recognition of his efforts and with a view to enabling him to achieve his full potential. Toni said:

“Alex-a lovely, kind, polite young gentleman, was a pleasure to have him join my small team in the Kitchen, he worked hard and learnt new objectives on the way…Alex always had a smile on his face and it brightened up everyone’s day. We will miss him when his work experience is over”.

Ashley was offered a 6 weeks in the F&F department with Mary’s team. As well as providing her with retail experience, knowledge and skills it also confirmed for Ashley that fashion is her passion and that retail is her career choice. Ashley’s confidence increased immensely over her time with the team and has learnt key skills to enable her to pursue her dream job.

Alex has excelled in the staff kitchen and became an integral part of the team.

Ashley’s confidence improved immensely on her placement in the F&F department. She thoroughly enjoyed her time with Mary and the team!
